Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal has said that all security arrangements for the upcoming House of Representatives election have been completed.
He reached Nepalgunj today to review security preparations for the March 5 election. Speaking to journalists in Nepalgunj, Banke, he said the government is fully committed to protecting people’s right to vote in a safe and peaceful environment.
Minister Aryal assured that the government will leave no stone unturned to conduct the election in a clean, calm, and secure manner. He encouraged citizens to vote without fear.
After holding discussions with district officials, he said he came to Banke to understand the overall security situation and election plans, and added that the preparations are satisfactory.
He also warned that some groups are trying to disturb the election process. He clarified that these are not political parties but certain disruptive groups. He said the government has brought such groups under control and will continue to take action. Anyone who breaks the law or tries to stop people from voting will face legal action.
Home Secretary Raj Kumar Shrestha, Inspector General of Police Dan Bahadur Karki, Inspector General of the Armed Police Force Raju Aryal, and other senior security officials accompanied the Home Minister during the visit.
