Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal has said that everyone must act responsibly to ensure a clean election and strengthen political good governance.

 

During a field inspection in Banke district on Sunday to review preparations and security arrangements for the upcoming House of Representatives election scheduled for Falgun 21, Minister Aryal stressed the need to conduct the polls in a free, fair, fearless, and credible manner.

 

He said the preparations in Banke so far were satisfactory and instructed officials to effectively implement security plans according to the district’s context. He also directed authorities to ensure compliance with the election code of conduct and to bring those violating the law under legal action.

 

A team led by Minister Aryal, including Home Secretary Raj Kumar Shrestha and the Inspectors General of Nepal Police and Armed Police Force Nepal, carried out the on-site inspection. Chief Election Officers, district security officials, and provincial heads of Nepal Police and Armed Police Force were also present.

 

During the program, Chief District Officer of Banke, Dil Kumar Tamang, presented updates on election-related activities, the integrated election security plan, deployment strategies, and ballot box transportation plans. Home Secretary Shrestha instructed all security agencies to work in coordination and with team spirit to ensure a successful election.

 

After the program, Minister Aryal briefly spoke with journalists in Banke, stating that the national election atmosphere is becoming increasingly enthusiastic and that Banke’s preparations reflect the same momentum.
