Amid the community teachers’ protest and the resignation of Education Minister Bidhya Bhattarai, the National Exam Board is holding a crucial meeting at 8 am on April 22, just two days before the start of Grade XII exams.
The meeting is to take a decision on the exams.
It should be noted that the teachers of community schools from across the country have been staging a Kathmandu-centric protest for about three weeks, calling for the enactment of the School Education Bill by incorporating demands mentioned in their previous agreements with the government, including the six-point deal of September 22, 2023.
The teachers have threatened to stay put on the streets, boycott the exams and not even mark SEE papers till the government fulfills their demand.
