A police constable has been taken into custody in connection with the fatal shooting of Bindeshwar Yadav, the Chair of Mithila Bihari Municipality–9 in Dhanusha.
According to police, the suspect, constable Shambhu Yadav, allegedly fired the shot that killed the municipal chair. Several others were injured in the incident and are receiving treatment at the Provincial Hospital in Janakpurdham.
The victim’s body has been taken to the hospital for post-mortem, and authorities have begun an investigation to determine what led to the shooting.
