Voter registration based on national ID cards has faced technical glitches due to high online traffic, leaving many applicants unable to submit their applications, the Election Commission said.

The Election Commission has reported technical issues in the online system for voter registration based on the national ID card, which began on Thursday.
According to spokesperson Narayan Prasad Bhattarai, the system faced overload as a large number of applicants tried to register simultaneously, causing it to hang and slow down. A team of IT experts, including national ID officials, is currently working to resolve the problem.
Many applicants have also expressed frustration, reporting that despite repeated attempts online, their registration applications were not successfully submitted. The Commission has assured that efforts are underway to fix the system and accommodate all registrations smoothly.
