Kathmandu Valley experienced its coldest morning since mid-January on Wednesday, as temperatures dipped sharply in the early hours. According to the Weather Forecasting Division, the minimum temperature in the capital was recorded at 3.5 degrees Celsius at around 5:45 am.

 

Meteorologists said the figure is preliminary, noting that the official minimum temperature will be confirmed at 8:45 am. There is a possibility that temperatures may drop further before the final reading is taken.

 

Weather experts have warned that active winter systems could continue to bring colder conditions in the coming days. Residents have been urged to remain cautious, especially during early mornings, to avoid cold-related health risks.
