Eight political parties have filed their nomination papers for the House of Representatives election to be held on March 5 in Mustang, which has only one parliamentary seat.
According to the office of the Chief Electoral Officer at the District Court, Chief Election Officer Bidyaraj Paudel said that candidates from the Nepali Congress, CPN-UML, Nepal Communist Party, Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP), Ujyalo Nepal Party, Aam Janata Party, and the Mongolian National Organization Party submitted their nominations on Tuesday.
To ensure the election is conducted smoothly, a team of nine election officials, including the Chief Election Officer, has been deployed in Mustang.
