Independent MP Amresh Kumar Singh Supports Rabi Lamichhane Amid Cooperative Scam Case

Independent lawmaker Dr. Amresh Kumar Singh has publicly shown support for Rabi Lamichhane, chairman of the Rastriya Swatantra Party, who is currently in custody at Bhairahawa Jail in connection with a cooperative fraud case.

Even though the Supreme Court has stated that Lamichhane cannot be considered innocent based on current evidence, MP Singh has still signed in his favor.

During a recent public appearance at Ghantaghar, Baneshwor, Singh criticized major political parties, accusing them of leading Nepal into debt for the past 30 years. He highlighted that Lamichhane has only been in politics for three years and questioned why major corruption cases like the fake Bhutanese refugee scam and the wide-body aircraft purchase have not been properly investigated.

Singh also expressed frustration that corruption is rampant across the country while some leaders face selective action.
