Humpal Lake and Jaljala are emerging as major tourist destinations after recent infrastructure improvements, including stone-paved trails, resting shelters, and viewpoints with panoramic views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges.

A two-kilometre stairway trail from Mate in Modi Rural Municipality-1 to Jaljala, built under a Rs 2 million provincial project, has improved accessibility, encouraging visitors from across Nepal and abroad. International trekkers are increasingly using the route as an extension of the Annapurna Circuit.

Additional upgrades, such as electricity access, new shelters, and plans for an artificial lake and religious site, are expected to boost tourism further. Local lodge operators report steady growth in bookings, especially after the festive season.
