Singer Nitu Paudel, who attempted self-immolation at a recording studio in Anamnagar last Saturday, has died during treatment at Kirtipur Burn Hospital.
According to police, Paudel, who had suffered severe burn injuries after setting herself on fire, passed away at around 8:30 a.m. today. Following her death, her family has filed a complaint against musician and studio owner Babul Giri, accusing him of abetting her suicide.
Paudel and Giri were reportedly in a long-term romantic relationship, though the exact cause of the incident remains under investigation.
