Security has been heightened in Delhi and nearby areas after a car explosion near the Red Fort on Monday night left 20 people injured. According to Indian media, investigators are still trying to determine the whereabouts of the vehicle involved.

Footage released by ANI showed security and forensic teams arriving at the site in the early hours of Tuesday morning. The Red Fort, a major historical landmark that attracts thousands of domestic and foreign tourists daily, has been closed for three days as a precaution.

Security measures have also been strengthened in Mumbai and other major cities. Police presence has increased at transportation hubs and crowded areas amid heightened security alerts.

A high-level review meeting chaired by Home Minister Amit Shah is being held at the Ministry of Home Affairs. Shah visited the blast site late Monday and instructed agencies to investigate all possible causes of the explosion. “All possibilities are being examined, and the findings will be made public soon,” he said.

As of Tuesday morning, the wreckage of the burned vehicles remained at the scene while multiple security agencies continued their investigation.
