After three consecutive days of losses, the Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) gained 3.21 points on Tuesday, closing at 2,565. The index fell in early trading but recovered by early afternoon.
Out of 254 traded companies, 142 rose, 102 fell, and 10 remained unchanged, while trading volume dropped from Rs 451 crore to Rs 362 crore.
Sector-wise, Hydropower (0.77%), Life Insurance (0.57%), and Trading (0.69%) saw gains, while Finance (0.61%) and Hotels & Tourism (0.38%) declined.
Four newly listed companies, Bandipur Cable Car, Mabilung Energy, Sagar Distillery, and Bungal Hydropower rose 10%. Other notable movers included Daramkhola Hydropower (6.88%) and Eastern Hydropower (6.29%), while City Hotel dropped 4.96%.
Sahas Urja, Radhi Vidyut, NRN Infrastructure, Shivam Cement, and Synergy Power led trading volumes.
