Gagan Thapa and Bishwa Sharma Boycott NC Emergency Central Committee Meeting

Nepali Congress General Secretaries Gagan Kumar Thapa and Bishwa Prakash Sharma boycotted the party’s emergency Central Working Committee meeting held on Friday morning at the party headquarters in Sanepa.

Party leaders said both general secretaries were absent from the meeting, which had invited central office bearers, members, invited members, and presidents of all seven provincial committees.

The boycott comes as Thapa and Sharma continue to push ahead with preparations for a special general convention, which they have announced for January 11 and 12, deepening the internal rift within the party.
