Cloudy Weather Across Nepal, Chance of Light Rain and Snowfall

Currently, Nepal is experiencing the partial influence of westerly winds, a high-pressure system in the upper atmosphere, and a low-pressure area in the lower atmosphere near the eastern region of the country.

At present, the hilly and mountainous regions of the country are generally cloudy. Haze has also been observed in some places in the Terai and valley areas.

This afternoon, the weather will remain generally cloudy in Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, as well as other hilly regions, while the rest of the country will experience partly cloudy conditions. Haze is also likely in some places in the Terai and valleys.

There is a possibility of light rain and snowfall accompanied by thunder and lightning at a few places in the hilly and mountainous areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, as well as in the hilly and mountainous regions of Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces. Similar conditions may occur at one or two places in the Terai areas of Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces.

Tonight, the weather will remain generally cloudy in the hilly regions of Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces, while the rest of the country will see partly cloudy skies. There is also a chance of light rain and snowfall with thunder and lightning at one or two places in Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces.
