Five committees under the Federal Parliament are scheduled to meet on Sunday at Singha Durbar. These are the Finance Committee; the Agriculture, Cooperatives and Natural Resources Committee; the Education, Health and Information Technology Committee; the Public Accounts Committee; and the State Directive Principles, Policies and Responsibilities Implementation Monitoring and Evaluation Committee. The meetings will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in their respective rooms.

The Finance Committee will review the suggestions provided by the Commission regarding the budget for the fiscal year 2082/83 and check if these suggestions were included in the final budget. The Agriculture, Cooperatives and Natural Resources Committee will discuss the Commission’s annual budget and programs for the same fiscal year, challenges faced while performing its duties, and complaints received by relevant committees. It will also review the proposed changes to Bill-2082, which aims to revise several land-related laws, in consultation with the lawmakers who proposed the bill.

The Education, Health and Information Technology Committee will hold a discussion with experts about the Media Council Bill, 2080. The Public Accounts Committee will review the 61st and 62nd annual reports submitted by the Auditor General. Meanwhile, the State Directive Principles, Policies and Responsibilities Implementation Monitoring and Evaluation Committee will examine the current construction schedule of the Federal Parliament Building at Singha Durbar and assess how well the responsible ministry is working to complete it on time.
