Former Gandaki Province Chief Prithvi Man Gurung Passes Away

Prithvi Man Gurung, the former Chief of Gandaki Province and leader of the Nepali Congress, has passed away. He died at 8 AM this morning at his own residence.

Gurung had also served as the former president of the Nepali Congress Chitwan district committee. He was appointed as the Chief of Gandaki Province on Shrawan 12, 2078 B.S.

According to Nepali Congress central member Tek Prasad Gurung, he had also worked as the chairperson of the Land Commission in Nawalparasi.

Gurung was born in Lwangghalel, Machhapuchhre Rural Municipality of Kaski in 2006 B.S. Later, he moved to Chitwan and lived in Bharatpur Metropolitan City-26.

The 76-year-old had been battling cancer for a long time. His final rites will be performed tomorrow as his son is currently abroad.
