Chief Minister of Bagmati Province, Bahadur Singh Lama Tamang, has removed four ministers from his cabinet. The ministers, Suraj Chandra Lamichhane (Internal Affairs and Law), Bimal Thakuri (Culture and Tourism), Madukumar Shrestha (Cooperative and Poverty Alleviation), and Min Krishna Maharjan (Youth and Sports) were all members of the Nepali Congress.

Chief Minister Lama officially informed Provincial Chief Deepak Prasad Devkota about the decision, citing Article 169(2) (K) of the Constitution.

Interestingly, all four ministers had already submitted their resignations to the Chief Minister through WhatsApp earlier on Friday. Shortly after resigning, the four joined 17 other lawmakers to file a no-confidence motion against Lama at the Nepali Congress parliamentary office.

The move indicates growing political friction within the provincial government and raises questions about the future leadership in Bagmati Province.
