Federal Parliament Sessions Today; Aryal’s Speaker Appointment to Be Endorsed

A joint session of both houses of the Federal Parliament is scheduled to be held today.

The House of Representatives meeting will take place at 11:00 AM at the multipurpose hall of the under-construction Federal Parliament building in Singha Durbar. The agenda includes presenting a proposal to elect Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Vice Chair Dol Prasad Aryal as Speaker. Aryal had already been elected unopposed on Friday, and the meeting is expected to endorse the proposal formally.

Similarly, a meeting of the National Assembly will also be held at 12:15 PM in Singha Durbar. During the meeting, the chairperson will nominate and reshuffle members of subject committees. Prime Minister Balen Shah is also scheduled to present the Annual Report of the National Women Commission for the fiscal year 2081/82.
