Harka Sampang Rai, Chairperson of the Shram Sanskriti Party, has claimed that his party will field a female candidate for the post of Deputy Speaker.
Rai made the announcement through a Facebook post on Saturday, stating that they will nominate a candidate for the Deputy Speaker position in the House of Representatives under the Federal Parliament.
In his post, he wrote, “We have already congratulated the unopposed Speaker. Now the election for Deputy Speaker is taking place! We are fielding a female candidate! Let’s see whether the ‘new’ parties vote for a new candidate or stick with the same old ones! Will we get 7 votes or 189?”
He also expressed confidence that parties claiming to be new will support his party’s candidate.
