Zelenskyy Urges Strong European Unity to Weaken Russia’s War Push

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said continued resilience and pressure on Russia are crucial to reducing Moscow’s ability to prolong the war and to achieving peace in Europe.

In remarks posted on X, Zelenskyy warned that Ukraine has received signals suggesting Russia is preparing to continue the war into next year. He said Russia’s actions contradict its public claims of wanting peace and cautioned that Moscow may use diplomacy to hide its aggressive intentions and justify territorial seizures.

Stressing that the threat could extend beyond Ukraine, Zelenskyy called on European and international partners to remain united and provide sustained security, financial and political support, including measures targeting Russian assets.

Meanwhile, Russian President Vladimir Putin has reiterated that Russia will achieve its war goals, dismissing Western concerns as exaggerated, as the conflict moves into its fourth winter.
