Westerly Winds Bring Cloudy Skies, Rain and Snow in Parts of Nepal

Nepal is currently being partly affected by westerly winds.

According to the Weather Forecasting Division, this afternoon the high hills and mountain areas of Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces will be mostly cloudy. The rest of the country will have partly cloudy weather.

There is a chance of light rain and snowfall in some high hilly and mountainous areas of Karnali and Sudurpaschim, and in one or two places in the high hills and mountains of Gandaki Province.

Some areas of Karnali and Sudurpaschim may also see light rain with thunder and lightning.

Tonight, the weather will remain mostly cloudy in the mountain regions of Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces, while other areas will be partly cloudy.

There is a possibility of moderate rain and snowfall in some high hilly and mountainous areas of Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim. Light rain and snowfall may also occur in one or two high hilly and mountainous places of the other provinces.

In addition, moderate rainfall is likely in some hilly areas of Gandaki and Lumbini, as well as parts of Karnali and Sudurpaschim. Light rain may occur in some Terai areas, and thunder and lightning are also possible in parts of the hilly and Terai regions of Lumbini and Sudurpaschim.
