Senior leader of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), Balen Shah, passed through Kailali-2 without stopping at the party’s designated meeting point, leaving local cadres and supporters disappointed.

Following reports of Shah’s arrival, party workers and supporters had gathered since morning at the Ghanti Ghar of Constituency No. 2 in Bauniya Bazaar, Bardagoriya Rural Municipality-2. The local RSP committee had even arranged a welcome and interaction programme in anticipation of his visit.

Although Shah reached Bauniya around 9:30 am, he did not stop there. After his departure, supporters expressed dissatisfaction, blaming poor coordination and management. They lodged complaints with Kailali-2 candidate KP Khanal.

Responding to the criticism, Khanal admitted that a lack of coordination prevented Shah from stopping. “A welcome and interaction programme was planned, but we fell behind in management,” Khanal said, adding that it was a coordination issue rather than a serious problem. He also assured supporters that Shah would be brought back for a meeting.

Khanal, an RSP candidate backed by Shah, said the leader’s schedule includes travelling up to Achham before returning.
