Weather Alert: Rain, Snow and Storms Across Nepal

A western low-pressure system, along with local winds, has caused cloudy weather, rain, and snowfall in different parts of Nepal, according to the Weather Forecasting Division.

Hilly and mountainous areas of Karnali, Sudurpaschim, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces are mostly cloudy. Other mountain regions are also seeing clouds. In Koshi and Bagmati, hilly areas are partly cloudy, while the rest of the country is mostly clear.

This afternoon, most places are expected to be cloudy. Many areas in Karnali and Sudurpaschim may get moderate rain or snowfall with thunder, lightning, and even hail. Some places in these provinces could also see heavy rain or snowfall.

Tonight, cloudy weather will continue. There is a chance of rain and snowfall with thunder and lightning in many parts of Karnali, Sudurpaschim, and Gandaki, and in a few other areas as well.

The Division has advised people, especially farmers, travelers, and transport workers, to stay careful during this weather.
