The Unified Socialist Party is planning protests across Nepal on April 7, calling for a fair investigation into the vandalism and arson that took place during the recent protest in Tinkune.

Party leader Prakash Jwala said that protest events will be held at the municipal, ward, provincial and regional levels. The goal is to demand legal action against those responsible for the violence.

A team under Deputy General Secretary Ram Kumar Bhattarai is already collecting details of the damage caused to the party.

Along with the protests, the party will organize political meetings across the country. These discussions will focus on good governance, employment, national progress and recent political and international issues.

The party also aims to raise awareness on corruption, gather public suggestions to improve the election system, and promote socialist programs for economic and social change.

This is part of the party’s larger nationwide campaign, which began on March 15 and will run till May 5.
