Two people died and as many sustained injuries after a jeep (plate number Lu 2 Cha 2990) fell 200 meters down from the Lutipokhara-Khana Daha road in Arghakhanchi at around 3 am on Sunday.

Two people died and as many sustained injuries after a jeep (plate number Lu 2 Cha 2990) veered off the Lutipokhara-Khana Daha road section in Dhungade, Malarani rural municipality-3 in Arghakhanchi district, and fell 200 meters down, district police stated. Police identified the dead as Dilip Khanal (22), the driver of the jeep and Balkrishna Rijal (21) of Malarani rural municipality-4.
A police team from Khana Daha rushed to the scene and took the injured to the district hospital at Sandhikharka where Khanal and Rijal died in the course of treatment.
The two others—Bhuwan Pokharel (17) and Basanta Pokharel (17) of Malarani-4—have been referred to Butwal for treatment.
