Voting for New Bar Working Committee Held: Counting to Begin From Monday

The voting for the new Bar Working Committee took place on Saturday, with 80% of 9,957 voters casting their votes. 

According to Chief Election Officer, Senior Advocate Ram Krishna Nirala, the ballot boxes will arrive from different parts of the country to Kathmandu by this evening, and vote counting will start from tomorrow (Monday). There are 57 candidates for the 25-member Executive Committee. Senior Advocates Vijay Prasad Mishra and Raman Kumar Shrestha are competing for the president position. Mishra's group has Senior Advocate Kedar Prasad Koirala running for general secretary, while Shrestha's group has Advocate Yagya Mani Neupane for the same post.
