Blowing whistles, teachers marched onto the streets of Kathmandu on Sunday to make their demand heard.
They took out a rally along the Maitighar-Baneshwor road section by blowing whistles, a day after Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli promised to heed to their just demands by holding talks.
Their march up to Baneshwor from Maitighar was meant to press the Federal Parliament located in Baneshwor to pass the long-pending School Education Bill in keeping with an understanding reached with the then government in 2024.
The teachers rallying at the call of Nepal Teachers’ Federation have threatened to launch an ‘educational strike’ if their demands are not met by April 7.
