CPN-UML Vice Chairperson and Coordinator of the Election Mobilization Committee, Ram Bahadur Thapa ‘Badal’, has claimed that the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has no basis to win the upcoming elections.

Speaking at a press conference held at the party headquarters in Chyasal on Tuesday, Vice Chairperson Thapa alleged that the party has no future, arguing that it was one of the stakeholders involved in the Gen-Z movement that called for burning Singha Durbar. He said the party lacks ideological and political clarity and has gained temporary attention only by opposing established political parties.

Thapa stated that although the party managed to mislead the public for a short time by presenting itself as an alternative force, it would not last long. He said, “RSP is an unstable political party. It was formed by opposing all established political parties. Therefore, it has no future. It has neither ideological clarity nor policy clarity. There is no political or ideological basis for it to win elections. They have managed to create some illusion for now, but that illusion will not last long. Even the Nazis succeeded through deception, but they did not last. RSP is a stakeholder of those who burned Singha Durbar.”

Vice Chairperson Thapa further portrayed the Rastriya Swatantra Party as an unstable political force.
