CPN-UML Chairperson KP Sharma Oli has said that the lives of UML leaders are still in danger.
Speaking at a program in Kathmandu on Thursday, Oli said threats and attacks against party leaders have not stopped.
“Even today, leaders’ lives are at risk. People keep saying they will file cases or take action, and some are even setting houses on fire after tracking people down. This is not an easy situation,” Oli said. “They didn’t just threaten — they actually carried out attacks against UML members. Even now, it remains difficult.”
He added that those involved in violence, such as arson or attempts to overthrow the government, are acting openly and without shame.
Oli emphasized that the party leadership continues to follow a spirit of sacrifice. “There was a sense of sacrifice yesterday, and it exists today too. Without sacrifice, the world cannot change,” he said, stressing that hard work, dedication, honesty, and commitment to party goals remain crucial.
