UML Convention to Host 16 Party Leaders, Including Deuba and Prachanda

The CPN-UML has invited leaders from 16 different political parties to attend its 11th General Convention.

According to Rajendra Gautam, head of the party’s Publicity Department, the invitations were sent so that the leaders could share their good wishes for the convention.

Mahesh Bartaula, who personally delivered the invitations, said that Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda, coordinator of the Nepali Communist Party (NCP), has confirmed that he will attend. Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba has also shown interest in coming. Bartaula added that if Deuba is unable to attend, the party’s Acting President will come instead.

UML Deputy General Secretary Pradeep Gyawali said that the party has also received congratulatory messages from political parties in friendly countries

Gautam said the opening ceremony will start at 12:30 PM today (Saturday) and end at 3:30 PM. UML General Secretary Shankar Pokharel will manage the program, and UML President KP Sharma Oli will give a special speech.
