The final of the second edition of the Nepal Premier League (NPL) is being played today, with Sudurpaschim Royals and Lumbini Lions facing off at the Tribhuvan University Cricket Ground in Kirtipur from 3:30 pm.
Sudurpaschim reached the final after a convincing 77-run win over Biratnagar in Qualifier 1, while Lumbini booked their place by defeating Biratnagar by 40 runs in Qualifier 2. Sudurpaschim are aiming to clinch the title after finishing runners-up in the previous edition, whereas Lumbini are playing their first NPL final.
The NPL champion will receive Rs 11 million in prize money, with the runners-up earning Rs 5.1 million. The tournament, organized by the Cricket Association of Nepal, began on November 17 with eight teams competing.
