Two Women Killed in Dolakha Jeep Accident

Two women died and one person was hurt in a jeep accident in Depung, Gaurishankar Rural Municipality-4, Dolakha.

The District Police Office in Dolakha said the Bolero jeep (Ba 16 Cha 7651) was traveling from Singati Bazaar in Kalinchowk to Jhanku when it went off the road and crashed on Friday evening.

The women who died were Dolma Sherpa, 32, and Phulmaya Sherpa, 45. They were from the same area. Police Inspector Shriram Timalsina said they died while getting treatment at Pashupati Chaulagain Memorial Hospital in Charikot.

One other person was injured and is being treated at Rolwaling Community Hospital.

The jeep was carrying six people at the time. Police are still looking into what caused the accident.
