In Los Angeles, U.S. immigration authorities (ICE – Immigration and Customs Enforcement) carried out a raid and arrested 118 undocumented immigrants. This led to protests, with demonstrators surrounding a federal building and targeting ICE officials, according to Fox News.

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has blamed Democratic leaders—Hakeem Jeffries, Karen Bass, Tim Walz, and Michelle Wu—for making negative remarks about ICE, which they say fueled the violence. The report also mentions that attacks on ICE officers have increased, and even their families are being targeted.

ICE claims that five of the arrested individuals are gang members involved in drug trafficking, domestic violence, and human trafficking. The Department of Homeland Security has urged political leaders to speak responsibly and help stop the violence.
