Three Dead, Six Injured in Jeep Accident in Baitadi

A tragic jeep accident occurred this morning near Vijaypur, Patan Municipality-8, on the Jayaprithvi Highway, as a jeep traveling from Motinagar, Surnaya Rural Municipality-6 toward Dadeldhura plunged down the hillside. The vehicle, bearing registration Ma 1 Ja 224, was carrying around 10 passengers.

According to Uday Singh Kathayat, in-charge of Khodpe Police Post, three passengers died on the spot, while six others were injured and have been taken to Dadeldhura Hospital. The identities of the deceased are yet to be confirmed.

The jeep reportedly fell approximately 200 meters off the road, police said.
