An overloaded jeep crashed in Bajura’s Himali Rural Municipality, killing three and seriously injuring 13 others, raising concerns over unsafe rural transportation and poor road conditions.

A tragic jeep accident in Ward No. 5 of Himali Rural Municipality, Bajura, has claimed the lives of three people and left several others injured. The jeep, which was carrying 26 passengers, was heading from Kyudi village to the ward office when it lost control and crashed at a place called Tunigada.
According to the District Police Office, the victims have been identified as 35-year-old Juneli Rokaya, 76-year-old Bijaura Rokaya, and 75-year-old Bancha Rokaya, all from Kyudi. Sadly, they died on the spot due to the impact of the crash.
Sixteen others were injured in the accident, and 13 of them are in critical condition. The injured were quickly taken for medical treatment, but some are still fighting for their lives.
Police believe that the jeep may have been overloaded and lost control on the rough, unpaved road. The narrow and poor condition of rural roads in the area is also suspected to be a contributing factor.
Authorities have launched a detailed investigation to determine the exact cause of the accident. The incident has deeply shocked the local community, who are now mourning the loss of their loved ones.
