Five Nepali citizens jailed in Iran have been brought back to Nepal with the help of Nepal’s consul in Tehran and the IOM, following their release by an Iranian court.

Five Nepali citizens who were in prison in Iran have safely returned to Kathmandu.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said their release was ordered by an Iranian court. With help from Nepal’s Honorary Consul in Tehran and the International Organization for Migration (IOM), the group was brought back home.
The ministry did not reveal their names. Earlier, during the Israel-Iran conflict, Nepal had rescued and brought back nine other Nepalis in three different phases.
