Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) candidate Dr. Amaresh Kumar Singh has asserted that the upcoming election will mark a turning point for his party, claiming a decisive personal victory and a nationwide surge for the RSP.
Addressing journalists during his election campaign in Sarlahi constituency No. 4, Singh said he is confident of winning the seat with the biggest margin of his political career, despite Nepali Congress President Gagan Kumar Thapa also contesting from the constituency. He maintained that growing public support has strengthened his position as the campaign intensifies.
Singh also projected the RSP as the largest party in the House of Representatives, claiming it would secure around 160 seats across the country. He said the party is likely to win 20 out of 32 parliamentary seats in Madhesh Province and emerge as the leading force under the proportional representation system.
According to Singh, even a nationwide tally of 20 to 25 seats for the Nepali Congress would be a significant outcome. He added that under the leadership of Balendra Shah, the RSP is gaining momentum and that the Madheshi community is now seeking clear political change.
