CPN-UML leader Gokul Baskota has said that political hype, misinformation, and blame games are not only seen in Nepal but also in established democracies like Europe and the United States.
In a Facebook post on Friday morning, Baskota said that exaggeration and accusations have become a normal part of Nepal’s politics, especially during election time.
He criticized political parties and leaders for making big claims about winning the upcoming elections and predicting how many seats they will get. According to him, such claims give the wrong impression that no party will come second.
“From all the election victory claims and seat predictions, it feels like everyone has already won and even formed a single-party government,” he wrote.
Baskota added that the actual results will be decided by voters and that these early claims are more about political exaggeration than reality.
