As tensions with the United States escalate, Iran has stepped up its military preparedness, warning of possible military action. Iran has recently inducted 1,000 domestically produced strategic combat drones into its armed forces and announced military exercises in the Strait of Hormuz. Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has also declared plans to conduct live-fire drills in the Strait of Hormuz, according to Press TV.
These developments come after the United States earlier this week deployed an aircraft carrier–led strike group to the Middle East. US President Donald Trump has warned that a massive armada is heading toward Iran and that time is running out for Tehran to reach an agreement.
