Western Weather System Brings Fog in Terai, Light Snowfall Possible in High Hills

A western low-pressure system is affecting Nepal’s weather. Because of this, fog has appeared in some areas of the Terai, and there is a chance of light snowfall in some high hilly and mountainous regions.

The Weather Forecasting Division said that mist and fog have been seen in parts of the Terai. At the same time, some hilly and mountainous areas of Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces have partial cloud cover.

According to the Division, mist and fog are likely to continue in many parts of the Terai this afternoon. Parts of Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces will have partly cloudy weather, while most other areas will remain clear. There is also a chance of light rain or light snowfall in one or two high hilly and mountainous places of Koshi and Gandaki provinces.

During the night, mist and fog may continue in a few places in the Terai. Parts of Koshi, Madhesh, and Bagmati provinces are expected to have partial cloud cover, while the rest of the country will mostly have clear weather.
