Shishir Khanal, leader of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), has said that leftist and democratic parties cannot share a single economic agenda. Speaking at a Nepal Economic Journalists Association (NAFIJ) event, he emphasized that a party’s ideology and principles form the basis of its policies, and forcing a unified agenda would be unfair.
Khanal highlighted that while RSP believes in liberal economic principles, social justice remains equally important. Employment has been prioritized in the party’s manifesto, and the party is committed to implementing long-pending private sector reforms if it forms the government.
He also urged voters in the upcoming Fagun 21 elections to give a clear majority to a single party, as fragmented mandates prevent manifestos from being effectively implemented.
