The printing of ballot papers for the first-past-the-post (FPTP) system for the House of Representatives election scheduled for March 5 has been completed.
The Election Commission said that ballot papers for 18 constituencies in 15 districts have been printed so far. The printing was done at Janak Education Materials Limited in Bhaktapur.
The printed ballot papers are for FPTP elections in Dolpa, Mugu, Jumla, Kalikot, Humla, Salyan and Jajarkot districts. Ballot papers have also been printed for Dailekh constituencies 1 and 2, Surkhet constituencies 1 and 2, Rukum Paschim, Bajura, Achham constituencies 1 and 2, Kailali constituency 1, Jhapa constituency 5, and Sunsari constituency 1.
Earlier, the Election Commission had already printed 20.083 million ballot papers for the proportional representation (PR) system.
