Gold, Silver Prices Continue to Fall in Domestic Market

Gold and silver prices declined again on Sunday, with hallmarked gold dropping to Rs 300,000 per tola and silver to Rs 5,500, according to the Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Federation, extending the downward trend seen since last week.

Gold and silver prices continued to slide in the domestic market on Sunday, extending the downward trend seen since the end of last week.

 

According to the Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Federation, the price of hallmarked gold has been fixed at Rs 300,000 per tola, while silver is trading at Rs 5,500 per tola today.

 

The precious metals have seen sharp fluctuations in recent days. On Friday, printed gold was priced at Rs 318,800 per tola and silver at Rs 7,065. A day earlier, on Thursday, gold had reached Rs 339,300 per tola, with silver trading at Rs 7,505. Similarly, gold stood at Rs 318,800 per tola on Wednesday and Rs 309,300 on Tuesday, while silver was priced at Rs 7,300 and Rs 6,870 on those respective days.
