A total of 89 passengers were rescued after five microbuses got stuck in the Roshi River along the BP Highway due to rising water levels.
According to DSP Rabin Bista from the District Police Office Kavre, a joint rescue team from the Nepali Army, Nepal Police, and Armed Police Force safely evacuated all the passengers.
The incident happened on Monday between Laskot and Charhund Besi in Roshi Rural Municipality-9, when the vehicles were trapped in the middle of the river.
After several hours of hard work, the rescue team managed to save everyone by around 1:00 am and helped them continue their journey.
