Amid growing political debate, the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) staged a protest in Kathmandu on Tuesday, urging a renewed national understanding among the King, political parties, and Gen-Z activists.

The demonstration at Ratnapark saw participants chanting slogans in favour of the monarchy and advocating for Nepal to be declared a Hindu nation.

RPP leaders said the country needs a fresh consensus before the upcoming general elections, one that avoids political winners and losers but ensures national stability and progress. For this, the party has proposed an all-party conference that would include the King, political actors, and Gen-Z representatives.

The party also pressed for voting rights for Nepalis abroad and called on the government to address the concerns of families of Gen-Z martyrs and those injured in the recent protests.
