Nepal’s stock market ended a six-day losing streak on Tuesday, with the NEPSE index rising 7.39 points to close at 2,614.07. Out of 258 listed companies, 148 saw gains, 101 declined, and 9 remained unchanged.
Despite the index gain, trading turnover fell sharply to Rs 3.75 billion from Rs 4.66 billion the previous day.
Sector-wise, development banks, finance, hotels and tourism, hydropower, life insurance, and manufacturing showed positive movement, while banking, microfinance, non-life insurance, and the trading group saw slight declines.
