PM Karki: Government Working Fast for Good Governance

Prime Minister Sushila Karki mentioned that the current government is not focused only on elections but is strongly committed to ensuring good governance.

Speaking at a program at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers on the 22nd International Anti-Corruption Day, PM Karki said the government was formed in response to the Gen-Z movement’s call for transparency and accountability. She said her administration is working quickly to meet those expectations while also handling regular government responsibilities.

She said it may take time to achieve the results young people hope for, but the government is ready to take the toughest actions against corruption, and the necessary state bodies are already active.

PM Karki added that some groups, unhappy with recent actions, have tried to give direct or indirect threats. However, she said the government will not be scared or pressured. She encouraged officials and civil servants to stay firm and confidently carry out their duties.
