Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) chief whip Gyanendra Shahi has accused the Speaker and the Parliament of supporting those involved in the controversial visit visa case.
Speaking to the media at the Parliament building in New Baneshwor on Sunday, Shahi said his party decided to boycott the House session because it was being held forcefully, despite opposition from several parties. He claimed that both the Speaker and the Parliament were siding with people allegedly linked to the visit visa scam.
Shahi said there’s no point in attending Parliament sessions if lawmakers’ concerns are ignored. He also warned that if the Speaker keeps breaking parliamentary rules, it raises serious questions about the value of the Parliament.
He strongly criticized Maoist Centre leader Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, saying his actions on the visa issue were inconsistent and unreliable, like a chameleon.
