The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) will organize an orientation program for its newly elected lawmakers.
The two-day program will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday.
According to party General Secretary Kabindra Burlakoti, the orientation aims to explain the roles and responsibilities of the new members of parliament. It will also introduce them to the party’s policies, vision, and working style. The program is expected to help maintain a uniform working approach among the party’s lawmakers.
In the election held on March 5, the RSP received close to a two-thirds public mandate. A total of 125 lawmakers were elected from the party under the first-past-the-post system, while 57 lawmakers have been recommended under the proportional representation system.
However, lawmakers selected under the proportional representation system from all political parties have not yet received their certificates from the Election Commission Nepal.
