The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index increased by 4.45 points on Sunday, closing at 2,824.90.
On the day, shares worth more than Rs 14.32 billion were traded, with about 39.5 million shares bought and sold. Among individual companies, Greenlife Hydropower had the highest trading amount at around Rs 810 million. It was followed by Ridi Power Company (Rs 670 million), National Hydropower Company (Rs 620 million), Himal Dolakha Hydro (Rs 550 million), and Radhi Bidyut (Rs 450 million).
In total, the prices of 124 companies increased. Solu Hydro saw the highest rise of 10 percent. Salpa Bikas Bank rose by 9.99 percent, Hotel Forest Inn by 9.93 percent, Greenlife Hydropower by 9.53 percent, and Abhiyan Laghubitta by 5.31 percent.
However, the share prices of 130 companies decreased, while 9 companies’ prices remained unchanged.
Among the sectors, the hotel and tourism, investment, life insurance, and collective investment groups declined, while the other sectors showed gains.
